My first pair! Should I size down one or do these look good? They button up fairly easily and are pretty comfortable. Straight out of the box:

I think they look ok in the legs, but you've got them pulled up uncomfortably high.

Okay, got them riding lower now. Will they be too baggy? I'm sure I can button the next size down. Not sure how comfortable they will be. (Petite Standards btw)

that's how mine fit and i feel the same way about sizing down i think that they would not look as good if they were tighter but that's just me

APCS stretch like CRAZY
got a 28 NS for a true 30 waist

now going to get a NC but I have big thighs that were kind of tight for NS,they're ok now a few months in, should I go size 28 NC even though its slimmer than NC?

Blasphemy to many around here, but a wash/dryer session may make them fit more to your liking if you are concerned.
Any smaller would be pretty damn tight.......
and, as much as folks talk about the APC stretch around here.....I have yet to fully realize is in my current NS
Yes, the waist has stretched.....but they are still hella tight in the hips

It depends on alot of factors, but I definitely wouldn't. I'd go up one.

i thought so too when i was in your boat...just give it a little more time
after a while you'll be like DAMN these are perfect now, and start to worry they will overstretch...

+1... this seems to be the general consensus from what i've read. go up one for NC from NS size because it will be tighter in the top block.

Another 2 cents thrown onto the pile:

Just be sure to get them from a place with a good return policy because if your thighs were slightly too big in the NS I don't think you'll be able to get a waist that fits while not having something that looks skin tight in the NC. That''s what happened to me-- I found the perfect size with my thighs had a waist that was too big-- and the waist will stretch with time. To me the most important measurement with the NC is the thighs. If you cannot pass the thigh test the waist becomes irrelevant unless you don't mind a very large waist. (And I don't think I have big thighs-- I'm 5`10'', 145lbs)

They should have a sign that says "Your thighs need to be THIS SMALL to ride in the New Cures!"

APC equivalent to N&F Weird Guy (I know its been asked before, I'm not looking through 622 pages)?

I'm thinking petit standard, I had a pair of NS but found the leg opening a bit too wide for my liking.
