Got APC NS sz 29 for about a month or so now.
They are a bit too loose from the knee down, for me anyways. shog[1].gif
Is it possible to be taken in by a tailor, and more importantly how does that work for raw denim? Does it screw up the fading?
Also, should it be done before or after the first wash?

Or perhaps I should just try to sell them and get PS...

ns is looser than ps and nc to begin with. and lol, no , it wont affect the fading process . and no, why would you wash it? if you must, just give it a soak.

and you have to post fit pics so we know if you must change fit or size down etc..

Can anyone tell me how a pair of new standards and rescues will fit compared to RRL slim bootcuts? I'm looking for something a little looser and with a higher rise.

I wear 29-30 in April 77 joey so if I wanted PS with a final stretch of around 31" I'd need 27, correct? may pull the trigger on a pair from need supply by the 20th since they have free shipping

It sounds like you should try and go for a PS if the jeans are still fairly new/resalable. The fit is similar to NS with lower rise, and slimmer from the knee down if I understand correctly. I wouldn't get it altered just to look like PS.

A couple questions...

- Is a soak necessary before wearing? I have been wearing my NS for about 3 months now and they have yet to touch water...
- Will I get mediocre looking fades if I wear the APCs when I'm lounging around/being lazy versus out & about? As of right now I spend a lot of time sitting down and in front of the comp...

1.No soak necessary.
2. Cmon dude, it'll just fade more slowly without hard wear. I've had mine for about 6 months, regular soft wear and the fades aren't pronounced. After a wash it'll probably come through more.

I bought a light washed NS this summer sized one up (34, I was a 33 raw NS at the time) and couldn't even get past my calves. Not sure if that was for the specific model or across the board.

2 months in on mine. They've stretched out a bit, and they fit quite nice now. They are still a lot slimmer than the same size NS I have but I haven't been wearing these religiously. Creasing and combs formed a lot nicer on these than the regular indigos, but I haven't noticed any fading at the same time.

How the hell do people size down like 4 on PS's? I sized down 1 for my 29 PS's and they're jegging tight on my calves
