I've got reasonably large thighs too and they fit great at the thighs, I'm just hoping they stretch a tiny bit more at the waist because that'll make them perfect

Sounds about right, I'm a true 32 and bought the NC's in a 30 and they have since stretched out a good amount... They are nothing short of perfect.

Just measure you body or a pair of jeans that fit you well, then compare with measurements online at a store such as context or eBay. Then kop. It really is that simple.

Just got the raw black NS (MIJ) in the same size as the indigo NS I have had for a year. It's not nearly as snug as I remember the indigo was at first (when I got the indigo it took me an hour to button up entirely, and walking up stairs was a challenge for a couple days). Is it possible that the raw black NS is cut a little looser than the indigo, maybe to compensate for less stretching out? Or did my legs get smaller in the past year without my knowledge?

Really wish the APC back pockets were a little bigger. Can barely fit my wallet into the back of my NCs

Is it ok that you can't fully button the jeans when you size down? how do you wear them then if so?

^ Personally, I wear a size where they are tight, but buttonable at first. They seem to stretch to a size, where they sit nice and comfortably on the hip. I would say not being able to button them, would be to go too far. But each his own ofc.

Walk around, move, squats, anything that will stretch them out. You should be able to button the top button after a few days max.

You sure they are raw? Aren't the MIJ overdyed?

Just sized down 4 on some New Standards, should be getting them in the mail around Monday. Wish me luck!

How can you guys size down so much? I tried sizing down 2 sizes on the NS today and they can't even go up my thighs. shog[1].gif

I went with NC since there were a couple of models on sale at Barney's for $120. I noticed the retail was $210 and they aren't selvedge. How come the NC is more expensive than NS, which is selvedge?

The fit is great though so I'm not complaining. I just want a pair of plain dark blue denim.

Is it normal for the primary button to be rattly? Is this thing about to pop?

Reading this reminds me of the Subway commercial when dudes' pants were popping off from eating fast food.

The primary button on my black NS doesn't rattle BTW.

There are 3 different types of top buttons that APC uses that I am aware of

The rattly one, my black NS (macau) has one.
Solid shiny, on most APC's
Solid Antiqued, on some black NS.

The washed ones always go on sale at the end of the season. The final drop should bring them down to $79. The rar selvedges don't go on sale.
