They fit like a 26 and are causing a muffin top. Should I soak them and hope for some stretch?

Give it a little time. Try some lunges if you're obsessive. They'll stretch soon. I'm in a pair of 27s right now and am usually a 29 waist and they're so comfortable I almost feel like a plebe.

Sized down 2 from 33 to 31 in the NS and theyre skintight. I couldn't do the top button until after doing some lunges, so I think sizing down depends on your build (average). I think these will end up being a hair big, seeing that I was able to wrestle them on. I don't think going down to a 30 wouldve been the best choice, since I'm just looking for a regular slim/straight not a slim cut. Plus I will probably wash these on a semi regular (once a month) basis.

Hi
i want to buy APC RESCUE. I have 34" APC NS and i like the fit in the thigh, but the tappering is too much for me. What size (33" or 34") RESCUE should i buy for a similar fit in the thigh?

i wear 28 in ns 29 in ps; should i get 30 in nc? confused.gif

I have your exact same problem: fabric bunching out weird.

I've also tried the New Cures in the same size as the Petite Standard, but nothing has changed though. I think this is due to the seat area (sorry, don't know how's it called) which is too big. I'm now trying to size down to a 27 in NC in the hope this strange effect goes away. Hope I don't end up with a pair of jeggins, but these jeans are known to stretch much so I'm pretty confident they'll be great in the end.

edit: forgot to add, I actually didn't have any problems buttoning up neither the NC nor the PS even though the former were almost painted on. Maybe I bought them one size too big (did I?), I don't know if this is your case too...

finally picked up a pair of APCs. tried on the new standards, but I like the knee-down portion on the PS better. w00t

You look like you got some muscles in your thighs as well, Bryce! Which size is that and how are they in the thigh and waist?

they're size 33 and to be honest so far they're tight as fuq in the thighs, but the waist fits fine. I'm gonna let them get used to me a little, and I think that should solve everything, and probably be my favorite pair of jeans.

Yeah it takes time but they stretch wherever they are tight. Tough it out.

I've only worn my PS 10 times and they are already stretching significantly. Can't wait to see where they are in 2 months.

Thanks Bryce, it looks good on you, so I'm gonna give it a chance as well.

Which would be more flattering for a skinny person who wants a slim but not skinny cut: a sized down 3 NS or a sized down 1 PS?

Go with NS. PS is a real skinny jean, the leg opening is borderline stupid. NS is a much more versatile cut.

If you want slim not skinny go with NS. It's the classic slim jean. Non SFers might even say it's skinny. Sizing down three is good for some, but if you're muscular you might want to size down two. It stretches a ton though.

As a skinny guy who owns/owned all 3 cuts of APCs and a pair of Nudie Slim Jims, I would say go for the Slim Jims. The cut is more appealing IMO and is a little more slim than the NS, yet, not skinny at all. I found the NS to be a little "baggy" in comparison (im comparing a slimjim size 29 to my NS 26). That's my recommendation anyway--they're both in the same quality/price range.

On another note, I just received my PS. I actually really like them. It seems to be less constricting in the seat area compared to the NC, but has a nice taper down the legs to it. Got too many jeans in my daily cycles though :/ Someone care for a pair of NS in 26? #shamelessplug
