nineohtoo & rkd can you guys keep us updated on the stretching of these new selvege blacks? I might be coppin a pair soon... these look great. I'm thinking since they used different denim for these new blacks they might have a different stretching properties than their old non-selvage black jeans.

Im guessing this would also apply for indigo raw PS to the raw black PS...

just got my apc new cure size 30. think i could size down one more. but im quite happy with the fit. i got it cheap so dont think i wanna sell it.
the waist, i know stretches a ton so im going to wear a belt. My query is whether the new cure will stretch a lot in the thigh?
was disappointed that the leg opening is quite big, should hv gone with PS.

I could have sworn they were made in Japan, when I checked them out (not tried on) at Barney's.

APCs finally.

Is it crazy to consider black APC PS raws over black Dior raws? There's something about the APC cut but maybe I'm reading into things.

Not at all. Dior doesn't look flattering on a lot of people, okay at best. I'm not convinced by black APC though, I'd be more inclined to call them charcoal.

Anyone know what shoes he's wearing?

Not a fit question but just a general APC question.

 

Got my first pair of APC Rescue's about a week ago. Have worn them only 3 times and it seems like the outer seam(selvage side) is beginning to come apart. It seems like this seam is very loose all the way down so maybe this is natural. I'm afraid if I turn to quickly or stretch them too much the seam will break Never worn APC's before so advice is greatly appreciated.

Ok this really confuses me...this article says 

"There is a pair of black raw PS available but the color looks more gray"

 

Does that mean that the back APCs are not raw?

 

the "black" raws are non selvedge but look more charcoal or grey

the black with selvedge are apparently not raw. i dont know if they are overdyed or waxed or something but the sales associate at the LA apc store said they are not raw. so maybe single rinsed and overdyed or waxed or something

I was able to stop by the LA APC store briefly today. I got to check out these black selvege jeans and I must say the color is pretty damn sexy. Its black with a slight sheen to it. Not a dark shade of black but as everyone has been saying a deep charcoal. I think they may be raw becuase they dont seem to be washed and are stiff as hell (or starched to hell) when I got to handle it. Will probably be back to cop a size 31 (size 1 up from regular indigos)

Heads up to anyone who wants a pair of the black selvedge Petit Standards: I'm gonna throw my 27 up on FS/FT tomorrow. I'm just not digging the fit in the seat. I feel like there's way too much fabric. My waist to hip/thigh? ratio might be a bit too much for this cut. I'm gonna just got for a 26 New Standard. Sooner I can get these out of my hands to fund new ones the better

The RRL black on black look really nice as well, a bit more than APCs though. Jimmyfingers does a proxy though.

how should i size in PS if im a 29 in NC?
