I see what you mean, from the knees down they are pretty baggy.

The size 33 NS have a 11.75" thigh, an 9" knee and an 8" leg opening.

The size 33 PS have a 12" thigh, an 8.5" knee and an 8" leg opening.

If you were to get a pair of 33 PS, the thigh would be slightly bigger, the knee would be a 1/2 inch small but the leg opening would be the same.

Width across calves is about 7.5 ... that's what I want the leg opening to be...

I don't wear this type of ensemble, I was chilling in sleepwear then randomly decided to throw on any footwear I could find, grab the tripod and go out for a quickie...

i think ns cut is good on you, you just bought them 2 sizes too big. once you size down the hem is proportionately smaller, too.

Getting them hemmed would also help. It wouldn't be the 'cool' fit we're all used to, but it'd be a serviceable straight leg.

Not bad man. You pull them off. I'd hem those though. After you get some fades consider shrinking them a bit. I'd say sizing down one or two would be good for you. Two may be a little tight on your thighs.

They're already sized down two from [ actual waist 17.25 ]...

Fit in the seat is great, and they're so lightweight and wearable...

They have lots of character, and I can't wait for the fades...but I have my eyes on something equally as slim yet comfortable up top and much more tapered below...

Thanks for the feedback folks

Try looking into the Naked and Famous Weird Guy. They have room in the thighs and they taper.

does any other jean maker source their denim where ever APC does. Love the denim, yet the cuts aient working.

right, but to get the styleforum-approved fit you need to size down 4.
i agree these don't look bad on you though. hemming them would improve things.

Aight fellas. Need some advice.

Might be grabbing some size 31 PS.

I had NS a few years ago in size 32.

Think I could pull off the 31 in PS? I have almost 24 in thighs, but I will be going on a cut in October and I plan on dropping about 10lbs.

Thighs will be tight at first, certainly tighter than the photos you linked to. But it's doable.

I have 24 inch thighs and a 34 inch waist and do a 30 PS.

Try sizing down to a 31 in New Standards or maybe New Cures. Going down to a 31 in Petite Standards would probably be too extreme. Plus the leg opening in a properly fitted pair of New Standards is actually pretty small - too big to stack, maybe, but not too big if you hem/cuff them.

Just ordered a pair of New Standards Black raw from Need Supply.
I went for a 31. Wanted to go 30 but a quick call to Need Supply and I was advised for a 31.

My actual waste is between 33 - 34 inches. Need Supply lady said she would not expect that much stretch in waist. I am a bit worried I should have gone 30 because according to Context's site, a 30 is actually 32 inches and including stretch , one will be looking at a final dimension of 33 - max 34 on the waste and a perfect fit.

Oh boy, shall keep you guy posted on the fit and maybe put up some pictures.

Y'al be good now.

^I think it's been said in multiple places like here and SuFu that some of the Context measurements are incorrect. I think you'll be fine unless your really skinny. Don't forget that jeans will only stretch where there's tension. It's not like your jeans are going to stretch equally in all the same places.

If it helps, I measure 29 and often buy 28s in most jeans or pants, so i got my raw black new standards in a 26(two down from my usual to cover vanity sizing). Waist was just right, but the thighs and calves were fairly snug(I'm pretty athletic). They loosened up over the next two days, and im pretty happy with how they look and fit two months later. Probably will get a 27 in my next pair to get a more relaxed fit since I just ordered some faux noir petit standards in 27 to be my dressier jeans.

Can you guys comment on the fit please? Just picked these up. I'm wondering if I need to go a size smaller. These feel tight enough but unsure as to how much they'll stretch after some wear. It's particularly tight from the crotch area. I could barely button the fly.

Saw the new Black raw in person and they look fantastic. Made in Japan too (as opposed to my blues made in macao, ouch!). you should be fine. People say the black raws don't stretch as much, so you might not want to kill yourself.
