I just got my New Cures, size 26, and they are way too tight. So tight that I couldn't even put them on, let alone button them up. Since I don't really like the flare either ( didn't know about that when ordering them) I'm going to order Petite Standards this time. Do you guys think size 28 will fit? The regular Cure jeans size 30 I tried on before were way too big on both waist and legs.

Also, are there any other APC jeans that barely fade, like the black ones? And if they're not raw denim, will they still stretch as much? In other words, will I need to order a different size?

I hope they get their site up again quick, I'm eager to see the new collection.

Question to all APC owners:

How do APC NS/PS fare in the crotch-blowout department? I've had major problems with every pair of jeans I've owned, from low-end to high. Probably how I walk or wear them, who knows. I've heard APCs are bombproof, but what are your experiences? Any alternatives?

APC's are pretty sturdy and last quite a long time, but it all depends on how and where you wear/walk like you said. If they are tighter, and you sag, the crotch blowouts are more likely. If they fit well then a crotch blowout is less likely. Also depends on how you care for your denim. Washes help keep the denim healthy, if you arent going to wash for a year or so then crotch blowouts are more likely again. APC's are pretty durable but imo you can get some better quality denim for that price such as 3sixteen or Tellason.

Correct, the black NS did not stretch as much, is made of a slightly thinner denim, and is not selvedge. It was raw though. In my hands, the black also appeared not to fade much at all compared to the indigos.

However, TMK, the black NS is no longer available, at least new in the US.

Holy shit!

I just ordered my first pair of APCs and they came in today. I got a size 26 PS sine my true waist size is a 28. I'm by far the skinniest person I know so I thought the PS would be my best bet. I tried putting them on and I can get them on and button all the buttons except the top button but getting them off if hard as shit! The hardest part is getting them over my foot.

These will stretch about 2", right? They are just slightly to tight for me now (right out of the box). Is this normal? Should I return and get a pair of NS instead?

I had the same problem trying on some small tag sized PS in store. Fine going on but a pain in the ass getting them off the foot...took me a little while shog[1].gif

If you're by far the skinniest person you know, then sizing down on the PS will probably make you look like an elf. lol8[1].gif

But then again, hard to tell without pictures.

If you can get the top button on, it'll definitely stretch a bit. NS would be looser in the thigh/knee and won't taper like the PS. But still a skinny jean by normal standards.

so...

new cures = super skinny with some flare
petite standards = skinny
new standards = slim
rescue = roomy

size down at least two for all of the above.

does that sound about right?

I wore my PS for the first time today and was wondering what shoes everyone wears with these? Due to the tiny leg opening they dont even cover the top of my Clarks Desert Boots so I was thinking about tucking them into my boots because they are so tight. What does everyone else wear with these?
