I'm fairly sure most people refer to their jeans by tagged size. Never heard anyone refer to their jeans by the "actual" waist size except maybe when discussing sizing issues.

30. They're not tight at the waist but I feel like that's not working for me. My last pair were NS sized down 3 and they were tight as fuck in the waist but fit fine in the legs. I washed them and now I can't even get em on anymore.

You know, for a company who supposedly intended to create high-quality, no-frills, no-bullshit jeans, they sure do throw a whole fuckload of bullshit into the mix with their retarded sizing conventions. Whomever conceived "vanity sizing" should be hanged, drawn, and quartered. Any CEO who authorizes their company to adopt vanity sizing as policy should have their right hands severed. Now that would cut down on all the repeated sizing questions, yes?

I sized down 3 on my NS - they are a little tight in the thighs, but overall nice through the entire leg. The waist is just too small, though.

Tried a pair one size up (29) and the legs were huge.

Might give up on the APC NS. May try the PS or go with a different brand.

Sounds like the cut you were looking for was the PS, not the NS.

Just got an NS in 27. Not feeling the cut, but I probably should have sized one further down (true waist 29). Having said that, maybe I should have just gone for New Cure or Petit Standard

Now about 6 weeks in, they really haven't stretched "that" much, but I guess I got some weight to lose anyway.

Actually, heres some fit pics. I was originally gonna go with the NS since I have big-ish thighs, but I think these look alright. Tried my friends NS 29 and I think I like my PS better. Am now curious what the NC would fit like.

Yeah I feel the same way - I got a 30 in PS and they were very tight when I got them. Going by what I've read I thought they'd stretch out to a perfect fit. Now I'm about 30 days of wear in and they are still reallllly tight.
So I'd recommend that if you don't like the way the LEGS fit on the PS when you get them - don't get them.
The waist on the otherhand will stretch a decent amount.

That advice sounds about right, the leg of APCs don't really stretch much but the way people say that APCs stretch like crazy misled me to believe that applied to the legs and not just the waist lol

Has anyone ever had their APCs dry cleaned instead of washing them? I keep hearing about people washing them and them not stretching back out.

You can dry clean your first wash (it is even recommended by APC), but eventually you will need to water wash to bring out the fades.
If you're really worried about them not stretching, put them on when they're still wet.

damned if you do, damned if you don't with jeans that stretch this much. the sizes seem pretty accurate for the unstretched jean. i think it's probably easier to get your head around sizing down for something you know will stretch, than buying something which seems to be the right size but is tight as buggery.

If anyone has a pair of 27 PS they want to get rid of, PM me!

I'd have to disagree with this, a size 32 unstretched measuring at a 34 waist for example, and that's not really to allow for shrinkage in the first wash.

I would think dry-cleaning would re-set your creases and ruin your fades. If that's an issue for Yessir you I probably wouldn't dry-clean.

In my experience with APC they should strecth back out a few days after a wash, just hang dry them
