Hey Skitlets,

What's your waist size? Does it happen to be 29? I think we may be in a similar horizontal situation.

I have a measured waist size of 29, and I usually wear 28s: J-crew, HM, etc. But I am losing more weight so may be aiming for perpetual waist of 27/28.

I read that you should size down 2 on raw denim. Should I be sizing down to 27 with my current waist of 29?

I'd like to be updated how the jeans turn out for you; and I sincerely hope they turn out great on you.

APCs are vanity sized down 2, so a size 27 is in reality a size 29.

You need to size down 1 or 2 more sizes after taking this into account. I believe the general consensus is an additional 2 for NS, an additional 1 for PS/NC.

^ poster got it right. I'm a 30 waist, most of my jeans measure closer to 31 since no one wears jeans at their natural waist. If you're a 29, I think the 27 might stretch too loose. I'll keep you updated on the 27s if you'd like. Just shoot me a PM.

Give it 2-3 weeks and if you still can't button it then its possible you bought a size too small.

My pair of NC's stretched for a full 6-8 weeks before it finally stopped. Size 28 ended up at 32 " waist.

I'm generally a 29 inch waist, got the 27s, been wearing them for five or six months now and they still fit perfectly.

Anyone got any shrinking from dry cleaning APC denim?
Progression photos of my APC petite standards. I've had them just over a year, but they've had about 6 months of daily wear, had 2 hot soaks never been washed though.

When was the most recent hot soak? Doesn't seem to be much contrast.
Couple weeks ago I think. I might wash them properly instead of just letting them sit in my bathtub for 10 mins. Would probably bring out the contrast.
