A.P.C. The official thread for APC questions. - Page 471

I wear 19cm Dior Homme jeans with a 30" waist. Usually I wear a 29" waist in other jeans and dress pants (e.g., Diesel), but I think Dior's slimmer cut becomes a problem with a "runners thighs." I'm 5'6", so don't do cuffing.

I hear APCs fit similar to DH, is that true? Also, are they about the same level of quality? Would you recommend any particular APC for me? I'm open to lots of styles and don't mind even a boot cut to differentiate from the tapered look of my DHs.

Cheers!

APC is definitely higher quality then dior denim. I own APC petite standards and I used to own Dior Homme 19cms and they APC are definitely much nicer. I had the same size in both and the APC was much slimmer in the calf, fit about the same in the top block.

Gotta love the sarcasm

I'm confused...

It wasn't sarcasm? I had the MII ones and they felt like uniqlo jeans, the denim was very thin and soft, the MIJ might have been better quality. I bought them years ago when they were like $250 for a pair and even at that I thought they were a rip off and they're like $400 now.

^definitely not a rip imo, the work that goes into stitching the two lines on the back pockets is worth more than apc already

ive got the silver selvedge MIJ and the denim is thin and papery, have to agree that apc seems better.

Can't tell if this is a joke or not. If it isn't how the fuck is a stitch across the back of the pocket significant workmanship? Its literally a straight line sewed on a pocket.

i was looking at the catalogue on the official site, question about the steel blue new standard: are they waxed or do they just appear that way on the model?

Interesting, I though APC was a step down!

Where are the Petit Standards made? I'm assuming France?
All A.P.C. jeans are made in Hoboken.

I have a pair of NS in size 27, which at the moment fit perfectly in the waist, but the thighs are a bit too tight for my liking. I've worn the jeans for around 3 months, so stretching has already happened. Will the thighs stretch anymore? I'm looking to get a more straight fit pair of jeans for a more casual/business look that instead sorta like NOBD with his jeans. Should I size up to 28, or maybe even 29? Or just look for a different cut of jeans?
