$235 for a pair of NS! Is that Canadian dollar? Still, with the conversion that's quite a bit more than the regular retail of $155.

The canadian and US dollars have been almost even for awhile now, which makes that much of a difference hurt even more.

i always thought clothes from mid to high end brands in Toronto were way overpriced...Holt Renfrew in particular, everything there is so damn expensive it makes Barney's feel like the Gap.

They're $155 in the US.

Cool, thanks. I'll check them out in the next few days. and the head's up on price, nowadays for anything generic or easily available online I just go into brick and morter to get the fit, then buy it online...

Yeah, kinda agree but not completely. There are always deals to be had if you're patient and specific. some stores like Harry Rosen, Holts, etc sell the same **** you can buy off the company website and they mark it up! (plus 15% taxes). Then again most of the people who shop there for the most part aren't too concerned with prices, they just want the stuff and are willing to pay a bit of a premium to know they're going to get it and with good service. I'd say others like Harrods or Selfridges are just as guilty...

PS, could anyone help me out with the second part of the questions (Thanks!)

Also... I just got some Nudie Slim Jims in 29... dry black
1. do I need to do any sort of soaking before breaking them in?
2. are they going to fade at all?
3. as for APC, any idea what size and cut might work that would be similar to the above?

Yeah, I am looking to buy petite standards as well. What would be a good site to purchase them from that ships to Canada for cheap. I know Nomad sells them for $195 +tax but I rather save the extra bit and buy them online instead.

Just received my APC New Standards from Mauro. I bought one two years ago at size 29 (my true waist is 31) and it is now a perfect slouched fit that I love.

This time around, I got a size 28. Very suprised to find the denim has become suprisingly much more softer than I got originally a while back. It's also has much more grey tones to it than normal. In addition, I didn't have to suck in all that hard while buttoning up my jeans, opposed to the time I had a nightmare getting my size 29s on. (my waist has been considerably the same throughout the past years) Because it was only a little difficult to get on, I'm considering whether to size down to a 27. I'll post pics in a bit for any recommendations. I could currently button up all 5, so I'm assuming it will stretch out too much.

Not sure if I'm just making things up, but have APC jeans gone down in quality since a few years ago? It might just be me...

The 30's I got a week ago feel bigger than my last pair of 30's. Glad it's not just me. BTW, don't yours only have 4 buttons?

So here are the pics My size 29 (hemmed, worn for year, like the fit)

New ones I just got size 28. seems already like its a good fit

While the new ones are still pretty slim, I'm just afraid that the super-stretch APCs usually undergo will just screw up the fit on these. Should I size one down? Also I was considering to not get these hemmed to try to wear them like Diors, super-stacked, but not sure if it can work. I'm short, 5'8ish Bonus pic:

i would guess 27 if your legs are thin.

My Levi 501 stf are size 30 and I think the waist is too tight (they are stretched to 32). My 29 APCs are a 34 and perfect. Too small on the thighs but the waist at 34 is great.

sorry for the crappy pics. APC hipsters. sz 26. should have gone for a 27. the legs fit fine but the waist is still snug after 4~5 months of wear. planning on hemming them (stacking is a bit off)

Here are my apc's. Had for about 5-6 months. No wash. One hot soak in July with woolite black.
