a question...

i am considering buying the APC men's faded black straight jeans, as on APC's website at: http://www.apc.fr/eu/en/fiche_articl...f=1C021012237H

my waist size is 30, and i already have a pair of raw APC new standards in 28. they fit perfectly.

am i correct to assume that the 'sizing-down' rule only applies to APC raw denim, and that i should order my correct size (30) in the faded black straight jeans? or should i still order a 28, like i did with my new standards?

also, is anyone able to confirm that the APC jeans i have mentioned above are the same as those in the below linked photos...?

jpgm, I would order the same size (28) to be safe. It's really difficult to tell with APC and there isnt really such a huge pool of information about their washed jeans since most people buy them raw. I've sen the faded black jeans and I think they look really awesome. They're definitely the sames ones in that "what are you wearing" picture.

In NS I fit tight in 27 and less tight in 28.
I bought a washed Anglais and 29 was actually a good fit (not too tight but does not require a belt).

I hope it somehow helps.

does anyone have any experience with these pants? if so, are the legs 36 inches, like all APC jeans? and do they fit true to size, unlike the jeans?

If any of you guys have a pair of New Standards in size 31 could you tell me how big the leg opening would be if they were hemmed so that the inseam is 31".

I am normally a waist 30. I am ordering a pair of 28 from Mauro as soon as he gets one (he has none in stock right now).

I don't know if it will be too skinny through the legs and thighs though. I never sized down by two before.

they will be fine. i am a 30, and bought 28 in the APC NS. they were difficult to button up at first, and quite tight...after 6 months of hard wear though, they are not tight at all. if i wanted a tighter fit i should have got the 27.

Yeah, that's the thing. I've got bigger thighs than your average W30. This is why I am doubtful...

I would guess about 16.5" but I would have to measure to be sure. The significant part of the taper is below that level.

This question has been asked, but I didn't see that anyone has replied to it: what is the new name of what used to be called the APC Rescue? The website no longer has anything called that, so I'm hoping they just renamed them...
