It seems that all APC jeans now come with a 34/35 waist.

Sucks for us tall guys.

hey i was wondering if anyone knows if the how the streching on standards are compared to ns. I just got a pair size 29 and they are pretty tight ( i feel kind of like a girl when i look from the back) and there is not a lot of room for my junk thats my main consern. should a week of good wear( sleeping in them tonight) get me an inch, so i can ride them a little lower.thanks one more thing do apc ever come in shorter inseams, than 34 inches i mean.

All of APCs raw jeans use the same denim. The standard, new standard, cure, new cure, rescue all will stretch and react the same. It's still the same denim on the cure that is on the standard even though the cure isn't selvage. At least that's what context heard from APC. They'll stretch like every other NS. Try soaking them or wearing them and sitting in the tub and then go walk around outside to the store or ride your bike for a bit. Jeans stretch a bit more when they're wet/damp. I've done it before and it worked. They never come in inseams shorter than 34".

Question for the experts: I bought a Rescue in size 31 from DenimBar a month or so ago. When I first go them they were pretty snug but not enough that I couldnt button them. Well within a few days they stretched out to the point where they were too saggy in the waist, ass, and thighs. I sold those and now I am getting a New Standard to replace them. Should I go for a 31 in the New Standard or size down again? Are they alot smaller than the Rescues?

BTW- I wear a 34 in an RB6 and a slim 33 in RRDG

Thanks

I don't fit too well in skinny jeans and i am a 33 waist with thighs i find a little larger than average. I bought a 30 in NS and i still had maybe a little less than a half inch that i could pinch. Maybe it was a quarter. Anyways, there was room so 3 sizes down was a good idea.

How much will a pair of raw apcs shrink in the length over time ? My new standards are about 3" too long and i need to know how much too get them hemmed please.
If you hot soak and hang you'll probably lose about half an inch even though they're sanforized. All jeans, sanforized raw and mall jeans shrink a bit in the length. If you wash them and then put them in the dryer you might even lose a full inch.

What about the honeycombing process? Since they are starched it seems as though the creases are rather big and rounded right now (They're only 4 days worn). Will they actually flatten out some? I would like the length to be a little longer.

As far as honeycombs go, the more you wear them, the more the shipping folds and creases will go away and be replaced with your own marks. Soaking will probably speed this up. As far as keeping the length and/or making it a tad longer, just cold soak it and then while wet, stand on the waist and pull at the legs pretty hard to stretch the length, or just hold the waist and stretch the leg. You get the idea. Lots of people have done this. You should be able to slightly lengthen the inseam and at the very least, it won't shrink any.

Maybe I'll start another thread for this, but...

...is there an jean out there cut like New Standards (i.e. 501ish w/o the anti-fit) that won't stretch out so much?

I think that the iron army hiro ito is supposed to be similar. I think you can find it on www.contextclothing.com I'm not sure if they're a forum supporter. I'd check to see if an affiliate carries them first, but you can see pictures there. I think they're out of the indigo with light gold stitching ones, but you should be able to find them somewhere. I think the guys who make Iron Army jeans browse superfuture and respond to PMs and such. I'm not sure if denimbar has them or not. You might want to call or email www.thedenimbar.net and ask. You can judge fit there though. I don't think all their measurements are 100% accurate though.

Anyone have any measurements on old cure size 30 taper? Leg opening? Width halfway between leg opening and knee?
