Hi Im looking into geting a pair of Petit Standards since they supposedly are like the Dior Homme 17.5's. Is that the leg opening measurments? Also If I am a size 29 in Dior homme Should I go with that or go 28. Thanks

No, but there is also no reason to soak them.

I'm 5' 7" and 134 lbs. Do you think a size 26 New Standard would stretch enough to fit me??

You really need to get your true waist measure to determine that.

I am extremely pissed off, I just bought another pair of apc ns just to wear around, but for some reason a part of the thigh stitching ripped off and now there is a whole on the side of my pants.

I guess you could wait for bootcuts to come back into style? Hah.

I know that this is late, but apc.fr has the hipster, as does the Soho store.

If I like a loose fit, should I get the NS in 35 or just get Rescues? If I get Rescues, what size should I get? 34? 35? Also, does anyone know if the sizing chart on Context uses the BiG way of measuring?

Thanks

Rescues 32 or 33.

is it a safe move to buy a pair of NS to the point where i can barely button them up and not pay attention to waist size?

^ definitely. those sound like they'll stretch to be perfect

one last question: will the ass and thighs stretch out? or is it just the waist that stretches?

Yes, they will stretch in these areas.

What's the inseam length for a pair of New standards with a waist size of 28? I thought they were 34 but they seem pretty short.. about a 32?

Does anyone know if you can get APC NS at a brick-and-mortar store in Sydney? The economy crapped out on me just as I wanted/needed to get a pair. Thanks, guys (that's YOU, United States).

I've been wearing my NS for about 8 months straight. Since arriving at my home (courtesy of the Denim Bar) they have not touched water. Last night I washed them for the first time: cold water + woolite dark. Today I awoke and rushed to the bathroom to marvel at my awesome fadez. But when I turned them right-side out I was shocked by what I saw: dark, pristine indigo--not a single crease or fade. I have heard tales of Japanese Brand X being resistant to fading, but I haven't yet heard of a pair of APCs going 8 months with nary a sign of wear. It's not as if I have been ginger with them. They have gone through caves and rolled down hills. I suppose I'll just have to wear them for another year and try again.
