Longer periods *before* washing, not longer periods of washing.

Meaning, wearing your jeans for 6 six months without washing would mean you get better and more pronounced fades compared to washing them within two-three months.

Also depends how hard you wear these things too.

I believe a good deal of the stretching should happen in a few hours. Almost all should be done after two weeks or so of wear.

I sized down 2 (27)

I normally wear Size 32's with my 501's, resulting in a comfortable loose fit. 32" is my true waist size. My legs are long and skinny (I'm ~6') I ordered Size 30 APC NS's.

Should I be good to go?

I read on Denimbar that I should size down two from my true waist size, so I ordered Size 30.

You should be fine.

I normally wear size 34 jeans (and those stretch a bit to like 17.4") and I'm wearing a pair of 31 APC new standards.

They are a tad tight, but really only a tad. Although I wish the rise was longer.

Here is an APC question: Has any SF New Yorker been to the Brooklyn surplus store? How good are the prices? I know the jeans aren't marked down, but past season stuff?

So it looks like I need to replace my rescues after only about 7 months of wear (the denim has completely disintegrated in the crotch area), and I'm thinking of picking up some new standards from denim bar when they go on sale. I wear a tagged 33 in the rescue, so what would be a good tagged size for the new standards? Contexts guide says that the 34 measures a 36" waist, but other sites have them fitting nearly true to size. Should I get a 34, 35 or 36?

If you want them really baggy, buy your normal size. If you want them kinda normal, size down one. If you want them slimmish, size down two If you want them really slim, size down three.

if you want them to be clown pants, size up one or two.

Well I know they will stretch, but my question was really geared towards how accurate is the tagged size. For instance, my rescues are tagged a 33 but measured a 36, and realistically I should have gotten a 32. Will tagged 36 new standards actually measure a 36, or will they measure a 38 as context is leading me to believe?

look dont go by measurements
do this
measure your NATURAL WAIST SIZE
AND SIZE DOWN 2 from that
end of story

What is the difference, if any, between new cure and cure? I wear a 31 in nudie straight sven and have thick thighs, would a 32 cure be too big, or just right?

I dunno, it's hard to say.
I didn't know there was a difference between cure/ new cure?

I've only reckoned with new cures, new standard, rescues.

** I've reordered my APCs. Hope they go well.

Its been pretty funny experience for me thus far. My NS are my first raws ever, and the very first day I wore them I dropped my keys on the ground and could barely bend over to pick them up (since I had sized down 2, thanks SF). I literally felt my crotch lose circulation. One of my neighbors asked me if I had back problems because I was struggling to pick up my keys Its all in good fun, I can't wait to see how these evolve.

LOL! That sounds horrible man.

I sized down two as well.. hope I don't drop anything for a good long time.
