I have a pair of New Standard's from a year ago in size 31 that have stretched to waist 35, and thigh 12, not sure what the original size was.

Having gained some weight I'm now looking for something with a little more room in both waist and thigh in a straight leg fit, I'm 5'9" 157 lb.

On searching around it seems APC has updated their fit according to Context clothing's site, but to get a 12.5 thigh it seems I have to get either new standard's in 'size 35' (waist get's too big) or Rescue in 'size 34' (leg opening get's too big)

Anyone else face a similar issue, should I be considering another brand like Naked & Famous Slim Guy?

I'm 5'8" inches 160 lbs. Here is the New Standard Size 30 I just bought.

I normally wear a 31. Considering the stretch, down to 30.

It does feel stiff now, but not too tight, almost perfect fit.

Wonder if I need to change to 29?

Ray size up. Peger keep that but at least cuff it if you dont want to hem. Looks like you could hem off 2" and still stack/cuff.

I'm pretty much your exact size and I take a 29 in NS - the 30s were just too big on me.

Crosswound, thanks for the advice. Yes, I absolutely need to hem it. Will do after deciding whether need to exchange the current one. :)

I'm same height, 10 lb lighter, and wear the 28. They stretch like a mofo!

What desert boots are those? Doesn't look like Clarks?

Love the fit btw.
