So as I mentioned earlier my mother was going to Paris and I sent a couple pairs of NS with her to get exchanged.

I just got a text from her, it turns out, they weren't worn out the right way. plain.gif

My measured waist size is 80cm which is about 31.5 inches, I bought some APC New Standards in size 28. Will these fit OK after 6 months of breaking in and then regular washes? I'm not sure whether they're small enough. They're at the tailor's house for alternations right now. I do plan on loosing a bit of weight (what's left of my beer tummy) and plan on a flat six pack someday. I read on the forums that they stretch a lot, do they shrink at all during first wash?

stretch is gonna depend on how much strain they're under. if there is nothing forcing a stretch, they wont. but from what you wrote, they should fit fine as long as your thighs fit.

also, depending on where you measured your waist, your "measured waist size" won't always work as the rise of each cut of jeans will determine where the jeans sit

I went to APC in Soho today. I tried on both the PS and PNS. The SA said they were both had a 34" inseam. The PS felt considerably longer than the PNS. The guy still said they were both 34. I layed them flat and from crotch to hem, the PS was about 2" longer the guy still siad the were both 34. Mr. Porter lists the PS @ 36 this thread has said over and over that the PNS is 34. What the hell is the "APC SA" talking about.

On another note:

Im pissed I missed out on the Black High Top Dunks.

Well they are quite tight right now. My nutsack barely has any breathing room though it's not tight to the point where it hurts and if i suck my stomack in a little I can slide my hand inside my pants. The button beneath the main/first button is also hard to button. Is that a good fit? It's not tight to the point where it hurts or constricts movement.

Thanks Finn. Is that taking the future stretching into account?

Yup, all my pairs have been uncomfortable to begin with and I haven't been able to button the top button, 1-2cm at least from buttoning.

I usually just take a nap in them and when I wake up, I can button them fully.

I have no problem buttoning the top button, I jut gotta pull a bit, it's the second button that is more difficult to button up.

No problem at all then.
