Hemming is no problem

Here's a dumb question ... Does A.P.C. make both a 'New Standard Slim Straight Leg' and a 'New Standard Straight Leg'?  Or are those interchangeably?  The reason I ask is that Nordstrom doesn't have any simple straight leg jean -- their basic model appears to be the Slim Straight. Mr. Porter, however, has a straight leg NS with no mention of Slim.

I thought that "New Standard" was, by definition, a slim cut.  So I'm wondering if Nordstrom is being redundant, or if these are in fact two different things.

See, I told you it was dumb.  But many thanks for an answer.

I don't know about that, ordered a pair of PNS and even for my tiny ass calves, they were skin tight. Got hammered on return shipping, too.

See the PNS, if they're too tight, I figure your only options are to get your current pair hemmed to something you're happy with.

In case you guys haven't seen enough pictures of faded APC's, these are my NS after exactly 7 months of wear. They've had two washes (they started to smell after rainy days) which I didn't to do, but it was time.

I would sew it all up but I honestly don't know if I can keep up with all the repairs.  I really can't afford a new pair right now, and it's way too late to return them.  I'm so fucking done with this brand.  I'm getting Iron Hearts next time.

Mine are about 1.5 years old and i've had the same problems. Fixed multiple seams already and just had the crotch blowout. Love the way they fit and have faded, but i definitely didn't ecxpect them to fall apart like this so fast.

Sent them an e-mail months ago and never received a reply.

Stay away from small hems then Groves. At 5'8" my calves are 15.25" so I understand your problem. My only pair of slim tapered jeans goes from about 8.25 at the knee to 7.75 at the hem. The size of my calves blows out the lower leg so from the front the jeans look great. From the sides it looks like I'm wearing girl jeans :-P

I just don't understand all the love then. So many people are experiencing crotch blow outs within a year. I thought the whole point of raw denim was personalization and durability...

^ Is there really a lot of love for APC?

This thread is 95% sizing advice from 1st time users.

APC is just a gateway into raw and selvedge denim.

Once you try it, you up your price point and find something really nice...

Does anyone have experience with their backpacks? How is the quality of something like this? http://uscheckout.apc.fr/browse.cfm/4,3044.html?nav=men
