I had the same problem when I first bought mine.. I originally bought a 31, went back and got a 30. The 30 was uncomfortable at first, but with wear it stretches very fast.. especially in the waist and thighs.. it will eventually get looser and easier to wear.

APCs for $129 in all 3 cuts

I pulled the trigger on a 28 PNS. I wear 29 - 30 in other brands so I went with a 28 PNS for a slim (but no skinny) look with a little bit of room in the crotch (higher rise than PS). I'll post fit pics when I get them. 

Are these PSN only inch larger in the waist than marked?

Right, I've had the 26s for five months and they've stretched as much as they're going to. But there's only so much the rise will give, if any at all. That's why I'm trying to go up a size.

For PS, if you're in-between sizes, go down 2 or 3?

 

3 for PS is very overkill imo. 

 

APC measurement charts are such a clusterfuck. Instead of looking at measurements charts that are hugely different, I just went with the sizing recommendations that are given here and on other forums. I sized down 1.5 for a slim fit. 

If you want circulation in your legs, I wouldn't size down 3, for my body type I wouldn't even size down 2

Hi guys. I just got my first pair of APC jeans in petit standard. They're obiously tight and stuff right now but I think they will be ok. They are a sz 30. I typically wear a 31 in N&F although those are a bit loose once they stretch.

The only thing I'm worried about is the rise in the rear. It's fine when standing, but when I sit, I'm worried they might be too low? Or maybe I'm just not used to them. But when I sit, the top of the rear of the jeans is just slightly higher than my butt crack. I wear boxers so this isn't an issue. Is this normal?

 

 

Second wear of my PNS sized down 2. Cuff or hem? What do you guys think?

 

 

Yes. PS is low rise.



Ppl w/ PNS how are the sizes comparing to say a NS or NC?

I've given up on the new sizing of the New Standards. I have an old pair of 30s that fits perfectly, but the new 30s are too big in the high and the waist, and the new 29s are too short in the inseam.

Does anyone have a line on who might have some new old stock of the old New Standards?

Failing that, is there another brand with a similar cut, at or below the $200 mark?

you should try looking into urban outfitters unbranded jeans

japan blue tight straight is basically the same cut, at $200.  but way better material, Made in japan

I also heard new cures are a weird fit. I own a pair of 28s few years ago but sold them because they were too tight, thinking of getting a 29 this time (im 31-32 waist)
