So I received my first pair of raw jawnz today--Petite New Standards--in a 30, and I think I dun goofed. I couldn't even get them up to the waist, much less button them.  The problem was in the leg opening and in the calves area (I admit I have larger than average calves).  Now I normally wear a 32 in Levi's 513 and 514 that fit me great, and I want a similar fit.  With APC stretch in mind, do you guys think I should size up to a 32 in the Petite New Standards or get a 30 in New Standards?  I'm not looking for a skinny jean, more of a fitted slim-straight.

6' 190lbs btw.

Don't the 514s have like a 8" or 8.5" leg opening on a size 32? If so the New Standard fit would be a better fit for you

Every time I wear raw denim i get some weird bacon leg stacks going on.

Pull the legs down and set the stacks every now and then.

I can't say, but I can say that the 32" 514 has a big leg opening for me.  Much prefer the 513 fit.

Um... if you wanted a fit like that why did you size down on a pair of denim that is substantially skinnier than those 2 models?

Go for a 30 NS

Well I heard that NS aren't slim fitting at all, and thought the PNS would be the happy medium.  Sized down per everyone's reccomendations due to major stretch in waist, etc.  But thanks I appreciate the info.

hey i just recieved my new standards, my waist is 30 inches so as recommended I sized down to a 28. I can just about button all the way up but they feel painted on in the ass and thighs, so much so I dont think id feel comfortable wearing them outside. I work from home so could wear them round the house though until they stretch out, or should I size up to a 29?

I am a 30, and I got a 28. It fits great now. The first few weeks were very painful – I could barely button it up and I could barely sit down.

Are the Context measurements for the Petit New Standards accurate?

I just received my xs A.P.C. "dad denim" jacket and the shoulders are too wide. Sad day.

If it's skin tight in the thighs, it will more or less stay like that

Received my NS today from Tres Bien Shop. I was surprised to see the APC pin on them. I thought they were not doing that anymore according to one online shop.

Fellas, talk to me about tailoring/hemming. I usually wear a 30 inseam. The 34 inseam is just way too long. This is my first pair of selvedge was I don't want to screw them up.

Decide if you want to stack or not. Although usually stacks look better on tapered legs. In my opinion, if you don't want aggressive stacks just leave 1-2 inches on top of what you normally wear. This way you can cuff if you want to create a visual break before the shoe and you can still have a bit of stackage for boots and low sneakers.

Can't wait for this to release..

Anyone know when it will be available and approximately how much it would cost?

Anyone have anymore information on this?

The waist fits perfectly right now but I'm going to always wear a belt so it won't stretch. I'm worried that the rest is too big and especially fearful that once they stretch ill get those wings on the sides of my hips. What do you guys think?

Edit: these are new standards. I usually wear a 28 or 29 in pants and these are size 27. I think they might be an old run because they had two 27s and the other felt like a 26.

Waist does look fine, but the waist usually stretches anyway with wear. Looks like you can size down at least 1 more.. How tall are you? Might want to consider shortening them, I'm assuming these are 34 length?

Thanks man. I'm 5'11" and would definitely hem these. I already have a pair one size smaller than the pair pictured but the rise is just not high enough to wear comfortably on a daily basis. That said, the smaller size I own fits perfectly everywhere else. With this pair I'm trying to get a little more breathing room without them looking sloppy.
