Haha my bad. What I was trying to say is that my jeans, which I wore for 1.5 year without a belt, never stretched to the point of becoming unwearable without a belt. I dont think that people need to be overly concerned about the waist stretching out and becoming unwearable. Hope that's clearer.

Went to the store today to buy Diesels but ended up with a pair of APC Petit Standards.  The salesman didn't mention sizing down at all, so I went with a 32 (what I normally buy).

Here's a picture from today, should I return and get 31s?  I'm 6'0, ~150 lbs

Thanks!

1) are you in topman

2) if you can button all the way then you need to size down

This isn't necessarily true. I've always been able to button my ps, and they fit perfectly.

I don't know your waist size (I usually wear 32), but I think you should size down to 31. But it depends on how tight you want them to fit, I guess. I'm 6'1" and ~172 lbs (185, 78 kg), and I got a size 31. I could also button it up all the way.

I agree. I think it really all depends on how they fit on your thighs, because there will be very little stretch in the thighs. in the pics, it looks like a nice comfortable fit in the thighs.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Thanks!

it depends on how tight they are in the waist right now. being able to button all the buttons is OK, but it should a very snug fit at first.

it does look like a good fit everywhere else though

Hmm, went down to a 30.  They still buttoned fine and there is still some room in the thighs.

I wore them out last night and I was having trouble getting my phone and wallet in and out of my pockets.  Do you think that means I went down too far, or will they stretch out so its not a problem?

700

Thanks again!

Got a pair of black raw PS in a sz 31. I like the fit right now but theres room in the waist and I'm a 30/31 in the waist. Anybody have any experience with going TTS in the black PS? I can't return these since I got these on sale. I may end up wanting to trade these for a 29/30 if anybody is willing to trade smile.gif

They're going to stretch like a bitch. I bought sz 30 TTS and it was spot on at first. Then it got looser and looser.

If there's no pressure being exerted on the waistband, it won't stretch as much. I don't understand how people get such ridiculous stretching unless they size down ridiculously to begin with.

I have to agree here..........I know everyone always goes on about the APC stretch thing - but, I have has a pair of NS for months now that simply will NOT stretch in the waist - sized down 2, so, essentially my "true" waist size and buttoned with relative ease with just a tad too much tightness in the waist.........was concerned that they would be crazy huge after a bit of wear, but, months later they are exactly the same.

I am skinny - 28 true waist - and maybe this contributes.......dunno.

Decided that these are a little too big for me. Anybody know if I can possibly email APC for an exchange or something?

I don't think they do returns on sale items. They might do store credit? IDK.
