So I bought a pair of APC NS in size 30, first pair of raw denim. Before this I wore a size 31 in GAP jeans and a 30 in Levis 514 (though i think 31 would have been better, since it's only comfortable after some stretch, definitely a bit too small right after washing). Buttoning was difficult initially, but I'm not sure if that's more because of the stiff denim. After twenty minutes or so it wasn't difficult to button anymore. Just had to suck in my gut a bit.
Where the jeans sit I measure about 32.5". I had initially measured where my 514s sat, which was a bit lower at 33". My questions is, will the NS 30 stretch to be too big? They measure 31 right now when flat. I'm going for a slim fit similar to the 514s, not skinny. I hear about some people recommending you get the size where you can barely button the top one up, but maybe that's for a skinnier fit? I'll put up pics later if it helps.
Also, I'm usually a 31ish inseam. Do people generally cuff or hem their NS? Stacking looked a bit off.
Lastly, am I correct that I don't need to presoak because the jeans are sanforized, meaning my fades will be at the correct places? Thanks guys.
