PSA

Holt Renfrew Last Call has APCs for 129 + 30% off. I saw NS in indigo and faux black in the 30s and one NC in size 30.

So I'm about to get some NS in a week or so and like most others I'm in between on the sizing. I wear a 33"/32" in all of my pants (usually 32", but I seem to have gained some weight lately..), so I was looking at a 31 in the NS. Only concern is large thigs/quads and squeezing in. I considered bumping up to a 32" since the thigh opening was bigger (IIRC), but should I just stick with a 31 and return them if I can't fit into them at all?

On a related note, I saw this on posts a few years back, but are there still codes for Need Supply or Azalea? Preferably Need Supply since I go to Richmond every few weeks from school.

^ Mr Porter has free returns if you want to try a few sizes. I was thinking of doing the same.

Yeah, that's what I'll probably do. Was just looking at the other two in case they had discounts.

looking to taper my new standards, how should i tell the tailor to do it? I'm afraid of messing up the fades
post #10791 of 12803

if you want it tapered tell him to do it by the inside inseam. that way your selvedge line won't be fucked with. it will cost you more. just tell him i want .5 in off of the knee and hem or whatever. im guessing the fades will be messed with no matter what type of taper you do.

You can't taper the inside seam without taking apart the outside seam as well.

why not?

Well, ok, you can, but you see how the inner seam on jeans is folded over so there's like a half-inch of extra fabric there?  You can't recreate that without undoing the other side as well, it's just impossible to get the sewing machine in there.

You could just fold it over and do a regular seam but IMO that looks weird.

My tailor tapered my jeans from the inside and it looks normal

Gotta say... I'm on month 8 or 9 on these New Cures. Love the fit, but the crotch is blowing out soon... It's obviously from bike riding in the sun/sweat/not washing them, but man these didn't last too long.

Why are the grey jeans $50 more expensive than the regular ones?
