agree on NS

I just purchased a pair of PS in 29" waist and after wearing them for a few hours the waist has loosened up a little bit. The thighs are skin tight and I am worried they will not stretch out to where I would like them to be. I am considering returning them and going with NS (which I think are a little too loose for my liking and have a higher rise than I would like). Should the PS stretch out or are they pretty much set at the thigh?

Not sure about the PS, but I bought a pair of NC in the same size as my NS with the hope and intent of slimmer thighs (NS a bit roomy for my chicken legs). When I first put on the NC, I thought, "No fucking way". I re-listed them on B&S for a couple of days (they were a B&S purchase, so no return) and when they didn't sell, I figured I'd do an experiment to see how much they'll stretch in the thigh and knee if I wore them everyday and slept in them every other night.

That was early July.

Result so far? Without measuring (and hence no precise notion of stretching), they've likely stretched a good 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Still tight but I suppose fashionably so, along with some fades happening already (No camera right now, so no pics...maybe later). In essence, and because they're cotton denim, they'll stretch wherever there is tension, but less so everywhere except the waist (hint: wear a belt to control this runaway stretching). If you're looking for an inch or more, I'd say it isn't going to happen. But if you're looking for a touch (less than an inch) and they're tight/painted on now, be patient, it'll happen.

I might have to go with NS then, I have a feeling I'll need more than an inch. I'll probably just buy NS 2-3 sizes small than normal.

Hey guys, got some 29 PS the other day, fitting pretty good at the moment, stretching slowly but nicely. Only problem I have is that they're too long. They dont seem to be settling into nice stacks either. What do you think I should do?

Anybody have pics of the grey raws after they've been worn for a bit?

Also what's the word on the street for the NS now, size down one?

The stacks won't settle down for a few weeks... give it time if you want stacks, but if you don't, then just cuff em.

size down 3. i think an NS, properly sized, would go well with your morgellon. to me the jeans you were rocking the other day looked too tapered.

this is a size 30, same as i take in normal ps. i'm 5'11, 170

damnit, I just bought some PS in size 30 that I haven't even worn yet, but I rather like that Petite New Standard cut... those hemmed would probably look good, nice slim taper

I just bought a new pair of NS, my first pair of raw jeans, and would like to have them hemmed because they are way too long. Should I wear them a bit before hemming them or can I hem them right away? Will they get any longer or just stretch in the waist/thighs? Would you recommend an original hem or will I be fine with a regular one?

someone please explain what an original hem is?  When I get my jeans hemmed they just cut it to length and sew up the bottom.

Hi! I am new here! I have question and I hope I can get some advice from the pros here :) I had a NC size 29 a couple of years ago and frankly speaking, even after wearing it for so long, I still have trouble getting into it. It's so tight recently that my legs will get numb after I sit with my jeans and my nuts feel sore after taking it off for the day. Thus I have no choice but to retire it (such a waste though, it really faded quite nicely). I got myself a Nudies Tape Ted Organic Grey Embro (size 29) recently and I like the fit on top (loose enough for me to slide my fingers into the pockets without resistance) and yet tapered in the bottom. However it is not fading at all, which kinda sucks.

I am currently looking at the PS Black Raw, but I am not sure about the sizing if there's any difference between PS and NC in the waist. Should I size up to 30 or 31? It will be awesome to find a fit like the Tape Ted with the fading of APC. :)

APC black raw won't fade, and go down 1 size from your NC
post #10754 of 12785

Oh? I understand there are 2 types of black PS, both of them don't fade?

EDIT:

Wait.. did you say down 1 size from NC from 29 to 28 even though size 29 NC is too tight for me?

1 down from your NC size, and since 29 is too tight then 30 is your NC size
