I was just trying to give people in here the first crack. I'll have no problem selling them, it's deleted though.

Hi Guys, going to buy a pair of APC PS in black.

The waist (laid flat, buttoned) of my jeans is around 39cm. I usually wear 28 or 29. (29 in Levis 510 for reference).
What size should I pick? 27?

greets

You might be getting older stock. Where'd you buy from?

Hey guys,

Was thinking about picking up my first pair of APCs and had a quick question:

Do they work for a casual office environment? Typically I wear button downs with Epaulet trousers and a sportcoat to work, just a little curious if you guys wear yours to work with a tucked in shirt?

Thanks!

I just contacted APC customer service, and asked for which pair of jeans is the slimmest.

She answered that the PS is the slimmest, but the New Cure is more slimmer on the leg between the knee and the ankles.

Is that right?

And would NC in size 26 fit a 28'' waist?

No....well....kind of maybe. The New Cure flares towards the ankle between the knee and ankle flare it may be true. I feel that the PS and NC are pretty similar in the thigh with the NC being a tad slimmer. If you're a TTS 28" waist, I'd go with a 25.

To add to the confusion, I'd say that NC sizing is about a size off from PS sizing. I tried on all three cuts at a Barney's not too long ago, and I found that I liked the fit of the NS and PS in a 28 (I'm a true 30, I could button them without much trouble, and the waist felt snug but not uncomfortable), but the NC in a 28 didn't work for me (maybe I could've buttoned them if I'd really tried, but I didn't bother).

Re: tucking a shirt into APCs, I probably wouldn't. The rise is pretty low on APCs, especially the PS and NC. It usually looks pretty awkward tucking a shirt into low-rise jeans. I'd look for something with a rise closer to 11" if you're dead-set on tucking your shirt in.

Just wondering, is there a difference in the waist size between a PS and a NS of the same tagged size?

I'm not really referring to room in the thighs, just the circumference of the waist.

No...the waist should measure 2" larger than tagged on both. i.e. a 28 would be 30" around on both.

Any webshops that mark APC jeans as a gift or lower value on the package?

Don't forget to take into account the lower rise

I had a question about sizing compared to my Levi 511 Rigids. I picked up the rigids in a 28" waist and they fit me pretty well so I was wondering how the Petit Standards compare.

Should I stay with 28" or should I drop down to a 26-27"?

Thanks!
