A.P.C. The official thread for APC denim sizing and other questions. - Page 906

So....unless it's a secret, anyone know what online stores are selling the standard blue denim jeans for like $150 or less? I bought my old ones for that, but they've lasted years, and I can't for the life of me remember the web site.

Hey guys, long time no post.

My New Standards are coming to the end of their life and I want to get going on a new pair, was planning on some Raw Black New Standards this time, some questions:

-I've remember talk about the Black Raw fitting tighter, or not stretching as much as, Raw Indigo, anyone with experience of both know if this is true? I wear 29 in Raw Indigo and they fit perfect, would I run into issues buying a size 29?

I would say try on just to see, but in my experience all APC denim is slightly vanity sized whether it be raw or not - I would guess you will be the same size in black as the indigo though. Maybe a 30...

After doing some research that's what I'm thinking.

Looks like I can order direct from APC webstore in France, so I may order 29's first and exchange for 30's if it doesn't work.

I'll do a bit more searching in this thread first though.

I have two pairs of PNS one raw indigo and one stretch black from this season. Both are a 31 - the indigo are way stiffer and need breaking in, whereas the black ones I could wear pretty comfortably off the shelf

Welp, I got annoyed searching back years in this thread for sizing info, so I just ordered my normal size in the Black Raw New Standard. I wear 29's in Raw Indigo, so thats what I ordered in Raw Black.

Bare in mind my Indigo NS are like 3 years old at this point, but the Black Raw NS in 29 appear to fit the same as the Indigo did when new - slim and kinda tight throughout my leg and seat, I can just barely get all the small buttons buttoned, but I can't quite get the top one buttoned.

After like 10 minutes of wearing them I could get the top button done, and now after having them on for like 30 minutes, they feel like they've stretched a bit in the knee and seat so they're not uncomfortable (about as comfortable as new raw jeans can get - still obviously stiff), and the waist has stretched to the point where I can get all the buttons, including the top button, done / undone with ease.

So in conclusion, the Black Raw New Standards appear to stretch just as much as the Raw Indigo. Only real difference I see is that there is no selvedge line on the Blacks for whatever reason.

Also the measurements fresh out of the bag, since I like to document everything:
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
APC New Standard - Raw Black
Waist (aligned): 15-1/2"
Hem: 7-3/8"
Knee (13" down from crotch): 8-1/8"
Thigh (at crotch): 11-1/4" - this one is kinda hard to measure since it depends how straight across you hold the measuring tape
Rise: 10"
Inseam: 32-1/2"

I'll update with measurements after they're broken in if I remember.

Ugh. Can anyone say whether their washed jeans stretch like the raw versions, or should you go tts?

If you're willing to wait, I got a pair of PNS in raw indigo from TBS for $136 earlier this year. i forgot what the sale was for though... it was marked down a little bit and I think I had an additional ~20% off? They will probably do another sale at end of the year/beginning of next.

Whoah, thanks! I wouldn't have suspected that. I'll definitely bookmark them.

I'll add the site menlook to the list as one to keep an eye on.. They've got the 80s wash/dad jeans for $120 right now ($150 shipped to the us). I thought the name sounded sketchy, but I got my stuff lightning fast with great customer service.

Anyone have any suggestion between their two versions of the MA-1 bomber? Both look identical as far as I can tell, but one is cotton-wool blend, while the other is nylon.

I don't actually have the washed ones, but have heard from a couple people to stay closer to true size as they do not stretch near as much as the raws do.

What happened to the Moto jacket? it was such a great design. APC is not offering the moto this season.

Does the waist on A.P.C. raws ever fit great for anyyone after fully stretching? It seems like unless I size down to where the jeans are too tight everywhere else I am going to have some extra room in the waist. A little annoying to dial in the right fit but have to always wear a belt.
