I'm normally a size 31 in 90% of jeans, but I went with size 32 because my thighs/butt are slightly bigger from squatting. also, I read up that APC stopped Vanity sizing a few years back. This should mean people shouldnt down size anymore, right?

i think you should still size down, and thats to accomodate for stretching. try on the size 32, see how it fits in the thighs. waist stretches, thighs don't. If you can get the thighs right but its too tight in the waist, (cant get last button on, or can just almost get it in) the jean is not for you.

The waist is the last thing to consider as it usually stretches out to your actual waist size (within limit).  If its fits everywhere else but struggle with the top button I'd give them a go.

Thighs appear to stretch but they don't really.  Its just because the waist starts to sag due to stretch and naturally begin to sit lower.  Thats my experience anyway

Well, here's hoping I sized right. I wear size 31 Levi's 511 that is 1% elastic so it fits great. I also have size 32 Levi's 514 but I need a belt because they're a tad too big (Also 1% elastic). Finally, I have a pair of size 31 weird guys from Naked and Famous denim. They still fit alright, having noticeable stretch in the thighs and 2 inches stretched in the waist made them a lot more comfortable compared to first day.

I just want to get this clarified, is APC still using Vanity Sizing?

^ yes (on raw denim)

Just wondering, is the $185 USD price tag worth it in your opinions? I live in Canada and they range from $210-280 depending on which store.

Which city do you live in. Realistically after tax they come out to around the same

I'm in Toronto, dutil sells them for $215, while the Bay sells them for 280. not sure why theBay's doing that.

I was just at the White Space, are you sure you were looking at the raw ones? I know they got the rinsed selvedge recently which are priced higher.

What/where is whitespace? And here are the two stores I'm referring to:

Dutil: http://www.dutildenim.com/apc/

TheBay: http://www.thebay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/thebay/petit-standard-brut-jeans-0015-codbs-m09002--24

(don't shoot me) fit them on locally and buy online. back in the day guys like context and other online affiliates would sell these for like $150-175 or something. Locally I've seen them for $200+ and the 13% HST so it's a no go. Also keep a look out for end of season color sales and stuff. I once picked up the raw blacks for about $100 over at Nomad.

^yeah, if nomad still carries them they sell 'em for cheap during boxing sales, a couple years back was the last time I bought but they were like 75 CAD +tax
