How high would you have them hemmed given my measurements? 30? 31?

disclaimer: I am not a style guru and this is amateur advice, if you are seeking authoritative style information I would consult a style guru...

I am about 31 inseam and had my jeans tailored to 31. If these were trousers it'd be a short break. As they are jeans it looks ridic. live and learn

I would give yourself at least an extra inch + 1/2 to cover your ankle completely - if you want to show some ankle you can roll them or they can stack.

If I were you I would wait until you get the jeans and see how long they are on you. The amount you want them hemmed will depend on how much stacking you want, so decide based on what looks good. The tailor you go to (if he's any good) should have some good input on that as well.

The other part of the question is would you get them tailored before you started wearing them, or after they have been worn in for several months?

Thank you all for your input!

ABSOLUTELY before you start wearing them, or the fades you set into the jeans will shift out of place when you have them tailored.

Hey hennessy, can you make some space in your pm inbox? I'm trying to send you a pm and it says your inbox is full.

second day wearing my size 28 ns- they fit pretty well. i was just trying to help the waistband stretching along- basically hooked my thumb in the waist and pulled, when the top button flew off! has anyone ever had this happen? its not the stitching that gave way, the button itself broke in two.

My 4 month APC PS were really starting to stank, and the freezer method wasn't helping - was almost ready to throw in the towel and soak them...but then I gave them a febreeze douse, let them air out, and then gave them a 10 minute inside out spin on low in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet.

They smell great now, almost feels like I washed them.

I don't think I affected the denim at all since they never got wet.

Just a tip if anyone is in my same situation and the freezer just isn't killing the stank of nearly daily wear for months.

I got my first pair of New Standards about a month ago and I'm starting to see the very beginnings of fading happen now, nothing obvious at all though. The thing is, as much as I'm looking forward to the fade setting in, I have to admit I really like the way they look as raw indigo too. So I wondered, does anyone make jeans that look similar in cut/color to the NS but won't fade on me like my APCs eventually will?

Thanks

Actually I like the way the denim looks new as well, unfortunately I don't really have a sure solution but I've heard that some Dior 19cm denim holds the indigo well and is well known for its cut, so I'd consider buying something hard to fade like Diors
