Thanks all.  One final pic of the completed knife - along with the hunting knife that I had made about a year earlier.

It is a lot of hard work, as you can see, but very worthwhile to be able to put these knives to use in the field and enjoy how well they perform.  It's also rewarding to know that with very minimal care, they will last for generations.
