Absolutely. My thoughts exactly. I can remember first seeing this "lawful stop" back at 8 or 9 yrs old and feeling vaguely outraged. "Why are they bothering this guy? Can you not ride a bicycle at night?"

'Oh, he had a little pill or powder on him so we had to pin his face into the asphalt. We knew right off he most definitely did b/c he was poor/black. Very bad, you see. If he'd had a sealed jug of vodka that'd have been fine though.'

"Huh?"

i hated that show. i think what got me down the most was the tedious prospect of living that life day in day out.

"see ya tomorrow Sam. good night Ralph"

The dog was certainly over used but that guy was given a fair chance. There is certainly the possibility that had the guy just pulled over he'd not be receiving that.

It's not right and I'm sure it happens all the time but that video shows excessive force not targeted brutality. The cop should still face some sort of justice for sure, he went over board and isn't what we all want in that role.

It doesn't take hindsight to know that pointing a firearm at somebody that you don't want to die (let alone pulling the trigger) is a braindead idea.

Think about all the people in these courses... their conclusion would be something like: "Cool, I can point a gun and pull the trigger at people all day as long as I think it's loaded with blanks!"

Pardon me, old boy, but the proper term is The Commonwealth.
