WTF over-zealous police? - Page 351

Whoop de do.

This report sounds just like the political hatchet job that was the Ferguson report.

"We can't prove the cops did anything wrong in this specific case, so here's some inflammatory anecdotes and misleading statistics."

I don't have time to formulate a response right this second (I'm on glib mode in StyFoLand currently) but hopefully towards the end of the weekend or sometime next week I can offer something for you to misread. peace!

If she were black she would've been arrested after being shot for resisting arrest.

Unlike the many Blacks that are handcuffed after they are killed, she was never cuffed.

That is the essence of White Privilege.

The first paragraphs talk about the level of concern they have, not for the family of the dead, but for the officer who shot her.

"We were unaware that any live ammunition was available to the officer," said Lewis at a news conference Wednesday. "The officer involved is grief stricken. We've got officers assigned to him to make sure he's psychologically stable."

You can really tell what is important.

Both "Australian" and "Aboriginal" start with "A". Depending on which you use, your joke could go a couple of different directions ...

Yes, and A could stand for Arnold = #ALM, Arnold's Life Matters, but of course it's second to #BLM as all lives are.

What kind of morons use a real weapon in a scenario like that?

Oh yeah. cops do.

There's a reason why in training scenarios where you point weapons at other people, you use those brightly colored blue guns.

They're trying to make it as real as possible. They succeeded.

I'm sure that story is complete bullshit, but I'm surprised it's taken so long for people to start shooting cops like they have in recent weeks. You had white militia types ready to go to war over some rich rancher's cattle, imagine what would happen if white people were routinely harassed and jailed as often as black people in this country. After all, isn't part of the reasoning behind the 2nd Amendment to allow citizens to stand up against the tyranny of government?

In my carry class, the guy had dummy rounds that he used, and not only did he check them, he had two other people in the class check that they were dummies before he put them in the gun.  Seems like the least you could do to comply with basic gun safety.

Also, how did the cop even hit her.  It normally takes them 95 bullets to take someone down.  He shot her with one.
