7 shot, 2 dead so far

Is it targeted only at cops? From the article it says the gunman was 'shooting indiscriminately'

That would be a tremendous coincidence. Guy opens fire shooting at random people and by pure happenstance shoots 7 cops, in Baton Rouge of all places.

Is this the resistance against tyranny our founding fathers armed us for?

I floated this out on Friday at happy hour re: Dallas to a huge anti-gun liberal that is all about BLM (as an aside she's of course the poster girl for UMC white chic.) The immediate cognitive dissonance made her nauseous I think.

Not exactly. Being a member of an invading army who all share the same goal isn't the same thing as being a member of the police force.

All enemies, both foreign and domestic. Seems to me some folks are viewing the police as such and not without some justification.

That's what i was asking - are all the wounded cops?

If one of those cops did murder someone, and he walked, then I'd agree. I don't believe the 5 murdered in Dallas and the 3 today, who were all probably targeted at random, is a good example of defending against tyranny.

I wonder if these shooters had any connection to BLM?

I'm sure they didn't just as Micah Johnson had no connections.

What's the point?

This jackass on Fox is actually complaining because Kasich refused to suspend open carry during the convention. Unreal. In the same sentence he claimed to support the 2nd Amendment.

I've been thinking about this all day. It's pretty sobering to consider.

I was thinking there might be some parallels between the recent police shooting and the islamic terrorism. The recent poblicity and politization of black killings at the hands of the police might be radicalizing some the same way decades of publicity and politization of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, wars in Iraq/Afghanistan, etc and the supposed role of the west as enablers of murder of muslims has radicalized some muslims.

I partially got that idea hearing the gunman was dead. I am wondering if he planned to die killing as many as he could, a suicide mission like a suicide bomber, or if he thought he could get away with it.
