Because it wasn't an important detail at the time?

And I guess it's futile to again point out that it doesn't really matter as long as the cop had cause to make the stop when he did it.

Not an important detail? It's the fucking detail upon which the entire encounter was predicated.

i was pulled over a for a broken tail light once in 520 (didn't get shot, just told to fix it).

then again i was just called f-ing isis two days ago downtown, so maybe what happens to me isn't necessarily reflective of what happens to you?

It is if bullshit apologists are going to later try to point to the statement as "evidence" of a broken tail light.

Downtown 313?

It could just be a coincidence, just like it could be a coincidence that no one has disputed the statement that there was a broken tailight (speculation here notwithstanding).

But it isn't very likely.

Did you correct them and say "We actually prefer the term ISIL"??

Some folks seem more upset about what some ex-Congressman named Joe Walsh tweeted than they are about the dead cops. In-fucking-credible.

I'm sure that accurately describes some jackasses, but in many cases it's more a reaction to Walsh choosing, rather than expressing remorse for the victims and their families, to use this horrible tragedy as an excuse to try to promote racist violence.

I was relieved to confirm it's not the same guy I think of when someone mentions Joe Walsh:

Not at all. No opportunities are bypassed. To be fair, that's pretty much for both sides, Left and Right, but more Left IMO.

Are you referring to the latest Jesse Jackson statements?

Nope, haven't read them. Why? Are they the anti-matter that cancels out Walsh's?

Pretty close to it. He's blaming Trump for last night's shootings pretty much.

I just finished a conversation with a few folks and all the could talk about was "how horrible that Joe Walsh" is. I asked them if they had heard of Walsh before today. They had not. I asked them if they knew the name of the dead shooter in Dallas and none of them did. I might have told them their outrage was misaligned.

edited cause I saw your post. Yeah, I don't think his statement about Trump is wrong but not sure you can link it directly to this shooting so not a subject for soundbites, sorta stupid. Dunno the context and all but yeah.
