Re: Freddie Gray.

The driver of the van (the one cop they were going to convict, if they were going to convict anyone) has also been acquitted of all charges:

Oh, and in case you're wondering how Mosby got elected:

I am not entirely sure what you're implying, can you clarify? Are you saying it's because she's a woman? Because she's black? Or because she has a large chest.

You might say I'd like to do to her what she did to those cops.

This one seems to be gaining traction in the media. Guy is being pinned down by two officers and someone yells "he's got a gun." Officer shoots him twice. Can't tell from the video if he reached for the gun, or if he just had a gun on his person. This is assuming he actually had a gun - not sure if that's been confirmed.

Was the 'he's got a gun' referring to the suspect? Or the cop pulling out his gun in public

A witness (store owner) said the victim's hands and arms were no where near his pockets or waistband, the cops yelled out that he had a gun, shot, then removed a gun from the victim's pocket. One of the cops then said "Just leave him" as the victim was wounded with a shot to the chest.

More info and link to video can be found here: http://www.theatlantic.com/news/archive/2016/07/alton-sterling/490124/

There's a new video, pretty graphic. Much better angle and closer to the scuffle. You see the guy being shot and bleeding out. The cop pulls the gun out of the dead suspect's pocket after the shooting.

The guy had quite a career -- drug dealer, aggravated assaulter, wife beater, child molester, felon in possession of a weapon. Someone calls in that he's threatening people with a gun. The cops come, they fight with him, they think he's going for a gun, and they shoot him. A gun is recovered. Video recording of the incident doesn't prove or disprove that he was presenting a danger at the moment the cops fired but it confirms everything else.

The only real evidence of police misconduct seems to be the interview with the store owner, but it's not really clear if his account is credible. And would he have a motive to give a telling in line with his customers' sympathies? I wonder...

Uhh, you must not have seen the video or read anything about the case. Seems like you only read the police 'report'

It wouldn't change his mind.
