You gotta be pretty dense to read my comment as defending the cop.

Wasn't directed towards you.  Was waiting for Ataturk's inevitable defense of the officer.  It's what he does

Maybe he was thinking no one would run into it if they obeyed the law and got out of the lane adjacent to the stop.

The bikes don't appear to be going particularly fast, and the lanes to the left of them have traffic in them...

I don't know why we are arguing about this though...that's a ticketable offense. So basically anyone who thinks that it is justified would also say that you could pepper spray a motorcycle for speeding or failure to use a turn signal...

If a citizen did that, they'd probably have an attempted murder charge on them if the DA was feeling feisty...or maybe at least an assault with a deadly weapon (since the spray could cause a deadly crash).

I'm going to test the theory and report back.  Anyone have Harvy's phone number just in case?

I'm confused. I only watched the first vignette and part of the second, but both guys used the magic words "I do not consent!" I can't understand why the cops didn't immediately stop and apologize at that point.

Why is the guy at like 14:15 in there?

Seemed like he mostly got away with it.

He reminds me of one of the two annoying dudes in the Sonic commercials.
