WTF over-zealous police? - Page 231
If he was shot on the ground, that's not self-defense. We can't hear anything on the video, and I only see one shot. The kid was from Chicago, where 100 black boys are killed per day. No one cares. Never seen a BLM protest up there. So I doubt anyone will care about this shooting. Just add another to the pile-- to the Chicago body count.
If you look at the video closely, you can see little puffs of smoke emanate from his body from the gun shots while he is on the ground.
There's frequent "Stop the Violence" marches and what not in Chicago all the time. Not like they do much of anything though.
I didn't realize he did that. That explains the murder charge then. If he left it at 1 or 2 shots while the guy was still standing, the Chicago PD would have pinned a medal on him for bravery, but continuously firing on the guy for 13 seconds when he was already incapacitated, if not dead, on the ground? Yikes.
Watching that video the first thing I thought was " damn, that boy was on one" turns out he was jacked up on PCP. Not that that justifies shooting someone 16 times.
Six year old was blown away this week, shots to head and chest. Body camera footage leads to charges ahead of autopsy.
Why the fuck were they shooting a six year old??? Fucking evil.
There have been reports that on the night of the shooting the police went into the Burger King and deleted their security camera footage. Dunno how accurate that is though. In any event this is going to morph into an attack on the DA, Anita Alvarez. It has been alleged that the only reason Van Dyke was charged at all is because the dashcam recording was released. We shall see what comes out from this
And of course officer statements don't match up with what is shown in the video.
But honestly, what I am hearing around here in Chicago, is that most of the cops don't even support this guy. No way to verify it, but if true, that's almost unheard of.
His lawyer offers an explanation. Case should be dismissed.
