On Sunday, Anna “Chrissy” Music-Peed, of Macon, Georgia drove to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department to ask if an officer would come to her property to investigate a vehicle that had been brought there by someone she knew which she and her roommate suspected was stolen.

While at the Sheriff’s Department Music-Peed asked that the cops sent to investigate the vehicle not shoot her dogs when they arrived at her property. The 10-month-old puppy Ammo was described by Music-Peed as being jumpy but friendly.

However, according to Music-Peed’s roommate Kyle Sewall, when Sergeant D. Little (who shot another dog last year) arrived at the property he shot Ammo point blank in the head.

From Police State USA:

JONES COUNTY, GA — A woman says that her ten-month old puppy was shot in the head after asking officers not to shoot it — twice.

On September 22, Anna “Chrissy” Music-Peed, of Macon, GA, drove to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department to request an officer come to and investigate a vehicle that had been brought to her property by an acquaintance, that both she and her roommate strongly suspected to have been stolen. Music told policestateusa.com that it was a Nissan Xterra from Virginia Beach, VA. As Music wrote in a blog post, “I will not have that influence around my family,” saying she was trying to do the right thing by making a report. The acquaintance was still on the property and Music had not let on that she had gone to talk to the police.

Ammo survived.

Like I said, never go to the police for help.

At this point the only people I'm convinced should be prohibited from carrying guns are cops.

Shit like this scares me because one of my dogs is very protective. She's never bitten anyone but she barks and growls at people who come to the door, and would most definitely do so if some asshole cop came and kicked down my door because of a warrant against my neighbor or the like.

Yes, some cops are pretty scary, but I'm not really sure why the owner wouldn't lock the dog up if she was so concerned.

The dog was in the house. She was held at the police station while the cop went to the house. The roommate, unaware the cops were coming, let the dog out to piss.

Why does it seem more people pay attention to stories about cops shooting dogs than innocent civilians or "suspects" not guilty of anything?

I like dogs more than most people.

Me too, but it seems like stories of dogs being shot by cops get far more press than things like a former Marine getting shot and killed in a no-knock drug raid on his house that showed no evidence of drugs. Although, the family did get $2M from a lawsuit settlement.

There's more press because dog shootings are far more common. I guess it somehow shows that all dogs are dangerous and something has to be done in the name of safety. Oh wait, they get to use attack dogs against people all the time. Yeah the double standard is ridiculous.

White people care about their dogs not other people.

Well part of it too is that the pigs always lie about shooting people, claiming they were reaching for a gun or some such shit. So it comes down to a question of credibility. With dogs, it's very rare for a dog to actually just straight up attack someone, and those of us with dogs know this from personal experience. They may bark and growl but to attack a human is very rare. So we know the cops are almost universally full of shit when they claim they had to kill the dogs in self-defense. There's no credibility issue there we have to deal with.

Those motorcyclists who attacked an SUV driver included an undercover detective with them.
