I heard that it can be found in your blood after 6 months.

Or maybe that's just HIV.

Clearly the officers feared for their lives when confronted by such a vicious beast of a dog.

Ahem, notice the colour of the dog?

If you freeze-frame, zoom in and enhance, you can clearly see that the dog was reaching for its waistband. Probably had a gun, small dogs frequently pull guns on cops (no citation available).

I was waiting for the video to freeze and the rap music to come up and the "Thug Life" logo to come into frame. Disappointing.

The officer was issuing a lawful order and the dog was not complying. What other outcome could there be?
As long as those officers got home safe at the end of their shift!

Come on, that dog had been arrested 19 times, and was a heroin dealer.

It also had marijuana in its blood when shot.

Worldstar!!!!!

As a dog lover myself, I hate to see one killed unnecessarily, unless the president or someone else wants to eat it, of course, but it is just a dog. There's no Tennessee v. Terrier that says you can only shoot a fleeing dog if it's dangerous. If it's interfering with cops who are in a dangerous situation, away it goes. Think of it like kicking in a child's beloved door.

It's likely that the dog ate its own vomit to disguise the scent of marijuana on its breath.

Ata's right, it's just a dog, not a living thing. It doesn't even rise to the level of a black man and if those can be killed with impunity there's no reason to extend any protection to dogs.

It was a black dog, Falcon.

No way that cop would have shot a Samoyed.

The door was alive, too, until someone cut it down and sawed it up into a door.
