I don't know, but she was physically fighting with the officer in an attempt to resist arrest/be subdued. There's a time and a place to fight the police, while they're trying to slap cuffs on you is not it.

If the cops had reason to detain her you would have heard it by now. They aren't shy. The silence indicates that it was unlawful.

The gun draw is about 3:11 in the video. No one was anywhere near his gun when he drew it with no one within about five feet of him at the instance he drew it. I will say he quickly reholstered it which shows he was thinking at least a little bit.

You're going to have to differentiate between the various situational meanings of secure, Jefe.

And one of the other cops immediately pushes his arm down, in a "wtf are you doing man" sort of response.

It's a clearly absurd explanation. None of the other officers even look like they feel threatened, calmly talking to people in the area. Officer Douchebag looks enraged that people aren't doing what he says, nobody is doing anything that should be particularly threatening to a police officer with reinforcements within arms reach.

I think Ninja Cop might have a full blown case of little man's disease.

Looks like when he drew his gun the other cops ran in to make sure things didn't escalate further and the guy realized what he was doing and quickly reholstered.

I do have to say the histrionics of the teens is quite amusing and that I just do not understand people that engage in this behaviour.

Oh, I see. The guy in the blue shirt runs at the cop, stops, and puts his hand in the back of his waistband and grasps around like he's trying to draw a gun. No wonder.

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if tripping (the ninja roll) was part of what set him off. Bunch of kids run off, they're chasing them, he tried and looks silly, now he's pissed and it escalates from there.

People acting like the kids are scumbags for running from the cops are dumb as fuck. Nobody has ever been at a party with underaged drinking when the cops show? Everybody runs, even people who haven't been drinking. It's just herd mentality. And really, with the way cops can act, why wouldn't you run as part of a big group? Odds of getting run down are pretty low and the people that stayed put are the ones who got their asses kicked.

Yeah, when he pulls the gun, even his cop buddies run in like "oh no man, back it off"

Stabilized video for those who can't see good:
Pretty ridiculous that he ignores those two white kids filming and just goes for the black kids who are also just standing around. The white kids clearly know the kid at 2:05...they were probably attendees/classmates too, and just happened to be white.

Ataturk found his White Whale!

All is excused! The apologist can apologize once more!

I'm kind of disappointed I didn't see it the first time I watched the video. Maybe because there nine kids all running at the cop at the same time.

I see a kid pulling his shorts up.

Here's a question: why does the cop pay no attention to the white kid that is clearly running at him? This kid also clearly has what could be a dangerous object in his hand. Why also is the fat white guy pushing people around ignored? If you tell me Nina Cop assessed they were not threats I'm going to laugh as his powers of judgement are obviously quite flawed.

This is like a window into the wheezing creaking gears of a cop apologist's mind. Fascinating.
