Basically, a girl is murdered and their response is to DNA test literally thousands of people from the surrounding villages. When they have a suspect (they find a relative, then the killer's father, but the mother isn't the father's wife so it takes forever to figure out who she is) they stage a fake roadblock to get his DNA from a fake breathalyzer test.

Amusingly they had taken the mom's DNA during one of their gattaca-style DNA roundups, but the lab had screwed up the test.

That's insane

Using camouflaged storm troopers to control student crowds seems wildly excessive. Extra bonus points for the casual and liberal use of pepper spray on people who don't seem to be doing anything wrong.

I'm glad at least one person still had time to try to yell "Fuck her right in the pussy"

Have you not noticed that in the past year or so, that has become the thing to yell into news cameras?

How can you say that when they killed Mike Brown for blocking the road!

Yes, you should probably start using that more.

It's nice to know these young kids are going retro with that 1994 saying.

LA cops seize beloved family pet of almost 40 years.

Link.

"When it becomes your family, you protect the pet and the people involved. That's all there is to it."

Gorecki's sister, Laura Mattson, was Jaxson's owner. She says Jaxson first joined the family through her late husband Jim.

"It's like losing part of my family and plus losing part of Jim. So now I've lost him too," Mattson said.

This is the flip side. Immediate without warning or hesitation. The cop could have been more careful, but then "ABUSE!"

I wouldn't want to be a cop these days.

Newly released video captured by an Arizona police officer’s body camera captures the chilling moment when a deranged suspect drew a gun and fired the bullet that killed the officer last month.

Rookie Flagstaff Police Officer Tyler Stewart’s camera caught the entire, deadly encounter with Robert Smith, whose girlfriend had called police on Dec. 27 to report he had trashed her apartment. The video, released by the police department in response to Freedom of Information Act requests, begins with Stewart getting out of his squad car and ends with Smith pointing the gun at him and firing.

Smith then shot himself dead, and Stewart, who was 24, later died at a hospital.

"Officer Stewart was murdered by Smith without any provocation or warning," Sgt. Margaret Bentzen told the Arizona Daily Sun. "There were no homicidal or suicidal indications from Smith prior to the crime."
