I have the original of that CdG wallet that I got in Japan; it looks like a pretty exact copy (the hardware there is Ykk, too). I've been using mine for probably five years now, and it just gets better with age.

Do you think the string cord could be replaced with a snap fastening of some sort? Is the cord actually attached to the leather?Originally Posted by mattjames
I don't think so, there is a hole for the stringcord so It wouldn't look good if you put on a snap thingy. the cord is just fastened with a knot, just like the authentic margiela wallet.
