Congratulations!

Why am I not surprised to learn that you speak fluent Italian? Stitchy didn't ask, so I will. No shoe circle?

No. I suppose not.

Thanks Dig! Great to see you back around these parts.

I would have asked, but I didn't know the word for "shircle" in Italian.

Yes, I did the interview in Italian and then translated. LB speaks perfectly good English, but I wanted him to be able to speak as comfortably as possible, and also I prefer speaking Italian anyway. Thanks so much for the link to LB's blog, which I didn't know about. And hear, hear, to your closing thoughts.

you speaka da italiahno?

also - pants look mid gray on my monitor.

Grazie, Signor Estitchy! It's a photo that I hope to look back on fondly for many years to come.

Great interview with a remarkable man of style. Well done. I look forward to Part 2.

As far as,"if you find a more beautiful scarf, let me know"....here it is. Well maybe not MORE beautiful , but as nice. In fact owning both would make perfect sense to me smile.gif

(And, of course, this is a Luciano Barbera scarf)

Speaking of his scarves, did you ever see his vintage map scarf from last year? I saw a photo but could never find it for sale. frown.gif

Here it is from his website blog with the copy:

Some of you may use GPS, mobile phones, road maps. We use silk.

Thank you for sharing, UBR! Signore B. seems like the most cordial of fellows.

I'm reminded of a quote of his: 'Any time I see a man playing golf or tennis in his jacket, I know he and I could be friends.'
