Plain Cap-Toe Brown Shoes

How important is it to have a pair of these in your wardrobe?  I don't have any brown shoes that are just plain captoes.  Trying to figure out if it'd add anything to what I have.

What do you have already? What shade of brown is the question based on?

I have in brown:

2 colors of strands (Walnut and Dark Brown Shell)

2 whole cuts in different shades (Chilli and Dark Brown)

1 long wing (Dark Brown)

1 Wingtip (Walnut)

1 Double Monk (Dark Brown)

1 Apron Toe (Merlot)

I'd be looking at an inbetween color between walnut and dark.

They are nice but not important. The only important business shoe is a pair of black shoes, eveything else is fun and variety, imo

Yeah I would strongly advise the OP to get a pair of black shoes. While the SF dominant view seems to be that brown is the best for suits, I also think most would acknowledge that at least one pair (or even two) of black shoes is an essential component to a business shoe wardrobe.

I may be confusing you with someone else, but are you the guy who has bought all (or most of these shoes) in the past six weeks?

Perhaps a pair in suede would fill this void?
