Can't get over how bad she looked in season 1 , bob benson is the most intriguing charachter to me

Definitely laughed when you saw Pete climb behind the wheel of the Camaro and you knew he had no clue what he was doing while Bob just has a shit-eating grin.biggrin.gif

He keeps popping up everywhere it seems. Bob there carving the turkey rustling Roger's jimmies was funny.

So now that Don is fired what does he do next season? Launch on a journey of discovery and eventually rejoin the firm as Dick Whitman?

Don is beginning to be honest about his past history and drinking. Maybe we will see him find personal freedom in honesty? He was sure honest during the Hershey's meeting.

Now that Don is (at least temporarily) unemployed, he could go to CA with Megan... and possibly start his own firm there under his true identity. Pete could join him. Two men who learned their lessons back east starting afresh in the promising future of CA.

I think Don is back at the beginning of next season, but he's different, the agency is different, the world is different. It's 1969 and Twiggy is dancing to the Archies with Charles Manson at Woodstock. Then someone goes to see The Wild Bunch. Shagadelic, baby!

Could be. Pete tends to hate and be jealous of Don quite a bit though so not sure if that could play out. Remember, Pete got that huge aerospace contract in CA and had to drop it because of Don/Dick?

Did anyone catch Peggy was wearing pants for the first time in the scene where she was taking over Don's office? I think we know who's wearing that pants in NYC now.

They may hate each other personally but they must respect each other professionally. If they are both able to admit that they've fucked up their lives, they may be able to get along. Bonds can be formed that way.

Somehow, though, I think that scenario would wrap things up too neatly for the writers.

It would be tidy to have both creative and accounts from the old agency start up a new one but I agree that would be a bit too easy and clear of a resolution.

I have big hopes for the final season.

It was interesting that Duck was in the office with Don both times he has seemingly hit bottom.

Good point. Also, could Weiner have been more blatant last night? Duck comes up, the other guy says to Don, "You're going down." laugh.gif

How about Lou Avery, the potential replacement for Don, asking, "Going Down?" just as Draper is leaving.

Campbell landed North American Aviation which I think at the time was going into the low millions range from "cocktail napkins". To the firm at the time sans Lucky Strike it was a big loss. These days they lost Vick, dumped Ocean Spray and that was 8 + 2m and then Draper got Sunkist for 8m with a phone call.

I still don't buy this California and the West Coast is freedom and everything but then I am not from the west.
