Can anyone who tailored VBC S120 from Kwong Hing comment if it tailors well? Is the drape decent?

I don't think Kwong Hing VBC in decent quality though the price is low.

I was aghast when they asked me whether I wanted the buttonholes to be machine made or handmade; I also looked at one of their samples, not quite Kiton quality but still very good, approx. WW Chan quality). I just had a look and all the suits they were working on were Canali, Brioni, RLPL, Kiton. They actually speak very good English. Only thing is that they are a bit expensive.

Thanks for the post, mind sharing how much you paid for adjustment at Tin Lun? I have some OTR suits need some adjustments. Thanks ahead.

I had extensive alterations, shortening the pant legs, trimming it down, adjusting the waste, taking in the shoulders, square shoulders, trimming down the jacket and shortening the sleeves. Total was 1,200 HKD which I thought was reasonable. If you want handmade buttonholes it would be 100HKD per buttonhole. Definitely unbeatable in Hong Kong though from the looks of things, the guys in Worldwide House just seem very dodgy and I feel that I would be uncomfortable taking a Brioni to them

Wooow! That will be more than a thousand HKD for whole suit !
May I have a picture to see how it looks like?

I didn't get the handmade buttonholes option this time. But the way I see it, if its cheaper than this, they probably won't put any effort into it, I assume it probably takes 30 minutes per buttonhole. Also if you do alter your Kiton or Brioni which probably is 30,000HKD+ retail (hopefully you got it for 15,000 HKD max on Ebay), does dumping in 1,000 HKD for some handmade buttonholes really that big of a deal? (wouldn't do it on a Canali though)

Thanks for the info !

Yes would there be any pic for the buttonhole style ?

I might talk to my tailor one more time to ask if they can do handsew buttonhole

It's pretty good in my opinion

It's not as refined as WW Chan but well, it's approximately 4000-4500 HKD for the CMT of a suit, fully canvassed and quite good looking (save the lapel buttonhole that you'd better have done somewhere else).

I'm pretty happy with the results and continue to commission on a regular basis with them.

Great post.

I am interested in using your tailor but I won't be travelling in that direction anytime soon. Can one just send in an existing jacket to replicate with maybe measurement changes (Jacket I have in mind is now small for me)?

I usually just send a jacket to replicate with fabric and there he goes on producing it.

Just know that if you want incredible handmade buttonholes, it's better to ask him not to make them, especially the lapel buttonhole.

I don't have anybody local that is skilled enough to make button holes. If it's just machine made buttonholes then I'll be ok with it.

Is jacket price is a fraction of full suit price?

Yes they're machine made.

Jacket price is around 300 EUR I believe

I'll give them a shot. Thanks for the info, I have always admired the stuff from them on your Tumblr.

Thanks! Glad to hear that. Well, they proved to be reliable and have a very decent pricing. Just in case, if you're sending them a fused jacket and expect a fully canvassed one, do mention it very precisely.
