GQ and Mr. Porter Launch New Venture
GQ has teamed with popular menswear retailer Mr. Porter for GQ Selects, a multichannel initiative where the retailer and the magazine cross promote selected products. It’s hard to tell if this collaboration is good or bad – Mr. Porter’s bland presentation yet surprisingly good product selection seems somewhat incompatible with GQ’s “timeless”/”investment piece” style. Before working with Mr. Porter, GQ spent several months working with Park & Bond (ouch) and Nordstrom.
