Ferragamo belt... with Gucci loafers?

Don't do it. I don't have an issue with either Ferragamo or Gucci loafers on their own and think there are tasteful versions of each that you can wear with no issue, but that's about the limit of blatant "I'm wearing this brand" you should ever have in an outfit. I dislike obvious designer belts in general because there's nothing interesting or iconic about them (at least Gucci bit loafers have stood the test of time). If you're not wearing a jacket, they call attention to an area you shouldn't be asking people to focus on. I don't care about mixing shoes / accessories from different designers, but if you have more than one blatant designer item on you, you look like a walking advertisement rather than a well dressed individual. I'd have the same reaction to a Gucci belt with Gucci loafers or Ferragamo belt with Ferragamo loafers. Don't look like a walking advertisement. Just, no.

Is it obvious at a glance who made the belt or shoes? As long as they don't have conspicuous logos on them, no one but you will know. I wear a RL alligator belt with Charvet ties, Pierre Cardin jackets and Hugo Boss suits, but no one looking at me knows that. They don't have visible logos.

+1 in concept. Can't imagine why there would be an issue if there's nothing obviously recognizable.

That said, the iconic Gucci loafer and most common Ferragamo belt I see both are pretty obvious. Unless you leave your jacket label on or someone is an absolute expert in identifying different cuts of jackets, nobody will ever know what type of jacket or suit you are wearing. Same with most good ties. Designer loafers and belts tend to be (but are not always) different and have a much higher risk of making you look like an advertisement.
