Grandfather's Shoehorn—Help

A few years ago my grandfather died, but we didn't go through ALL of his things until recently because my grandmother died last month. As difficult as it's been, I've found a few things to hold onto that will remind me of them. One of them is the horn shoehorn that my grandfather used since before I was born. It's really lovely, and from england, but a bit brittle and I'm concerned about it. Is there any sort of treatment anyone knows that might allow me to extend its life and use it, or that might allow me to keep the edge from starting to peel apart. Any help would be really appreciated.

Yeah it's made of real horn,

Perhaps you could google some sellers or manufacturers of horn-products and ask them? You could send them the pictures too. Good luck. I hope you will have good use of the shoehorn and remember your grandfather for many years.

This stuff is supposed to be good for preserving horn. It sometimes makes the horn a little cloudy, but it's temporary.

Thank you so much, I'll read up on it and give it a try.

Also a solid plan—I'll reach out to a few people. Thanks for the sentiment.
