But that's one nice looking pair of shell derbies to have sitting a few days shipping away from me...
The boots will be great for the northeastern winters. I always loved that style of shoe, which was popularized by Heschung (NMWA whats up
) and the JM Weston hunt shoe. Its not for everyone but I think its a beautiful style of shoe/boot. I am thinking of doing it in various moose leathers/suedes.
While we are on it, another shoe I am testing out for fall is this DM in navy blue scotch grain with goyser:
The derbies are on the Franko last, which is my favorite last. I like the budapester lasts as I think of them as iconic shoes, but the Franko has more applications, as its more of a classic British last. Anyway, here is a pic of the BP last in size 10 (the whisky boots you tried on) and the derby in size 11. The Franko is slightly longer and narrower than the BP-39, but not by much. I would say that lengthwise you would be about the same with the shoes you have, the only issue might be the width. Here are the approximate measurements of the size 11:
Outsole length - 12 7/8
Outsole width - 4 3/16
Insole length - 12 1/2
There is only one way though to know for sure how they fit so, just give me the word and I'll ship to you and we can work out the details after you try them on
