O'Connell's menswear?

After much hunting and deliberating for a super nice pair of light gray, light flannel trousers, I just purchased these 11oz lambswool trousers from O'Connell's that look fantastic (here: http://www.oconnellsclothing.com/product.php?productid=17865 ):



But it occurred to me, and some searching confirmed, that I don't see anything about O'Connell's anywhere on the forum. I've already orderred, but I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with their clothes re: quality and fit? A lot of their items seem right up SF's alley so I'm surprised to not find at least a couple of threads or B&S postings with their goods.

Comments anyone?

I know their outerwear is fairly well respected. From what I understand, the place has fairly trad leanings.

Take this with a grain of salt as I've never actually handled anything from them...

I sometimes use Google with a modifier to help uncover SF threads:

Foo recently blogged about a great coat at O'Connells and I recall Manton talking about them on at least one occasion.

Good tip. I had tried something similar but I think I was missing the single quotes - thanks for the pointers!

I agree with others that O'Connell's definitely leans toward the trad.

I have a few dress shirts and OCBD shirts from O'Connell's that I bought when I was in the Buffalo last summer and really like them. I'm planning to get a few more from them at some point this year as well. I looked at some of their wool trousers and sport coats when I was there and really liked the quality and materials but they were just a bit more than I wanted to spend. If you like trad style, O'Connell's strong point is their relatively large selection.

If you are ever in the Buffalo area, it's worth a stop to check out the store in person IMO.

I refer to them all the time, although I do not own anything from them.
They probably have the broadest selection of tweeds that any US RTW
retailers offers. Also their outwear offereings are extenssive, especially
true heavy overcoats, and even greatcoats. One day I'll trek to Buffalo
and get one of their sportcoats MTM -for side vents and body shaping.
Overall their cuts are very Ivy traditional.
